Wuhan, China II

In between the lectures I was guided around Wuhan by my dear new friend Wei Yan.  We started at the Hubei museum, a good place to be during the week that the world news included reports of an amazing new fossil find in Hubei province.  Highlight for me was a performance of classic music on ancient instruments, including the two tone bells.  We moved on to the area round East Lake, which turns out to be a favorite place for getting your wedding photos taken. Graduation photos were also in order this week -- happy, gowned grads were seen everywhere.  Then it was back to the campus of CCNU for further lectures and registration for the second conference of the Chinese American Association for Poetry and Poetics.
